Meet Heather

As a 500 RYT, 200 E-RYT, Empowerment Coach, and priorly certified personal trainer with deep passions for functional movement and Ayurvedic medicine, Heather brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to each student and client she meets.

At the age of 12, Heather was threatened with a back brace due to scoliosis.

So, she took matters into her own hands and drastically reduced her scoliosis by attending yoga classes at the local YMCA when she went with her dad. While these classes helped her back, they made matters worse elsewhere in her body due to a teacher who was not properly trained in anatomy.

15 years and one torn muscle later, Heather has healed not only physically, but also on emotional, mental, and spiritual levels beyond what she had experienced before her injuries through her deeply committed practice to all 8 Limbs of Yoga. Yoga is a continuous healing path in every dimension of Heather’s being and has transformed her from a lackluster adolescent who didn’t believe in Universal love and synchronicity, to wanting to be closer to the essence of Life Itself every day.

Because of this transformation, Heather is called to help others find a deeper empowerment in this lifetime. While we talk about Balance in yoga a lot, Heather aims to help practitioners live that balance every day. To find balance in every aspect of life by acknowledging imbalances and allowing a greater understanding of them in order to heal from where we are, rather than from where we want to be.

In every session with Heather you can find the the best of both worlds - themes and cues to encourage a deep connection to Self with humor and tenderness paving the way to true embodiment and healing.

“Heather is the best yoga teacher I have ever had. I'm new to yoga, but she has a knack for leading a large class with people at all levels and all of us are able to go at our own pace and have a great time. I woke up early every day while I was in Lyons and I never missed a class. Heather is humble, sweet, smart, caring, strong and funny and she brings all of this to her yoga teaching. Her yoga class was definitely one of the highlights of Planet Bluegrass song school and folks fest.”
